Paul Morrison is a Policy Advisor for the Joint Public Issues Team, which speaks on behalf of the Methodist, Baptist, United Reformed Church and the Church of Scotland. He specialises in issues around UK poverty and the huge changes that the benefits system is going through.
Prior to working for the church Paul was postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College developing vaccines. He has brought from that world a love of evidence and graphs but happily has left behind both the viruses and the needles.
Alongside that work he was also heavily involved in politics acting as a campaigns manager, speechwriter and as a spectacularly unsuccessful candidate.
Paul was brought up in Northern Ireland, is married to Nicola from Rochdale and lives in Roehampton University, West London, where Nicola is the chaplain. Their two young children have wildly confused accents
