COVID-19 Response

As a result of the Government Guidance to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Methodist Church have announced the closure of all churches with immediate effect. This means that there will be no services or activities on the premises for the foreseeable future. We may not be able to gather as we normally do, but we’re still here if you need prayerful or practical support. Please Contact_Us via the website or call the church office (01525 371905) for support.

During this time, we will still be providing up to date Weekly News bulletins available via email or our Whats_On page. Although we won't be meeting for face to face worship for the time being we are aiming to provide a variety of resources for worship. Please check out our Church_Life page for service ideas or check out our Weekly Page (Sunday_29th_March) for our own 'virtual' service.

Dear Friends

The Methodist Church has issued the following guidance:

“The Methodist Church is announcing a closure of all its church buildings for the foreseeable future. The Methodist Church suspended worship services last week with some churches still opening for quiet prayer and reflection. This must now also be suspended. We would encourage people to use online resources at home, including downloadable services and links to online worship services.”

All services and other activities at the church building are therefore suspended until further notice. We will ensure that the church website/Facebook and other online resources include news and useful links to worship resources, of which there are many now springing up.

April Trumpeter will be circulated by email with this week’s Weekly News. However this will be the last Trumpeter until services restart. We will add news and resources to an augmented Weekly News.

We will do our best to provide resources to be used by the members who are not able to use the online resources. Following the instructions not to leave home unless absolutely necessary we are not going to ask members to deliver paper copies of Weekly News or Trumpeter to those not online. Thanks to all those who offered their daily exercise for this purpose. However we are working on a way of ensuring that everyone can read Trumpeter and Weekly News, whether in print or by audio. More news to follow.

Our priority concern is those who are elderly and at home alone. Thanks go to our pastoral friends who are working hard to contact them as often as possible. If you have any problems or needs please don’t hesitate to contact your pastoral friends,  Sue or Patience.

We continue to hold you in prayer as together we navigate these unchartered waters, trusting in the Lord our God.
