Privacy Policy

At Trinity Methodist Church we collect different types of information about our users for the following main reasons:

  1. To provide a useful resource in the form of an online directory of users.
  2. To provide an interactive website where email is used to communicate with the users.
  3. To provide a security mechanism whereby we can restrict content to certain groups of users.
  4. To help us to improve the service we offer.

Our principles

We are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy can be summarised in one sentence: we will not share your information with others without your consent.

We have established the following two principles:

  1. We will respect your email privacy. You will only receive email from Trinity Methodist Church in relation to areas you have expressly signed up for.
  2. We will not share any individual user details (including your email address) to any third party without your consent.

What information do we collect?

We collect information on our users through registration.

The minimum information we need to register a user is your first and last name and a password. We also ask for some further, voluntary information so we can provide a richer, more useful address book.

Who will have access to your information?

You have control over who is able to access specific items of information. By default your personal information will be visible to other authenticated users of the site. You can change these settings from your personal profile page. Your information will be used to build the online address book and show your birthday in the Trinity Methodist Church calendar.

This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a device with someone else or are using a device in a public place like a library or internet cafe. You as an individual are responsible for the security of, and access to, your own device.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information over the internet that this information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information in publicly accessible online forums, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your usernames and passwords and any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are using the internet.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know what to expect at Trinity.

Where and When
On Sundays we meet at the church (details here) for Sunday services starting at 9:15am and10:30am. There is a small car park at the rear of the church (access from Bedford Street) but it is on a steep slope, so we recommend parking in Baker Street car park opposite the church. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

Accessibility
There is a ramp at the front of the church and a lift for those who enter from the rear car park, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please speak to one of the Welcome Team on your arrival and they will give you any assistance you need.

Sunday Services
Our 9.15am Early Church service meets in the Hall is aimed at families and includes choruses, activities and a message. The 10.30am is more traditional worship and is led by ministers, lay preachers or members of the congregation.

Children are welcome
Children are welcome at both Early Church and 10:30 services however we have no Sunday School during the 10:30am service. Early Church gives plenty of opportunities for children (of all ages!) to join in with songs, prayers and activities. Once a month (every 3rd Sunday 4:00pm-6:00pm) we have a Messy Church service, which is an interactive, all age friendly service which ends with a light meal.

Evening Sunday worship
Every week we have a zoom evening service starting at 6:00pm which is particularly appreciated by people who can no longer get to the services in person. Contact us if you would like zoom login details.

Midweek service
Each Tuesday we hold a short (30min) service starting at 10am, which is followed by tea/coffee and biscuits. This usually includes 3 hymns, bible readings and prayers, and of course lots of chat over coffee after.

Getting Connected
As well as worship services we have a number of groups which meet at the church or in homes. Check Church Groups for more information or Contact us if you can’t see what you are looking for or would like to speak to the minister.

We look forward to meeting you.
